Some of the scariest villains are the ones who don’t think they’re the bad guys. Even though they have a twisted view of the world and commit horrendous crimes, they feel that their actions are justified somehow. They might even be trying to achieve a goal that we would consider noble, but the way they go about it is corrupt.
Disney’s Maleficent is under no delusions that her actions are justified, and we think that might make her even scarier! She knows that what she’s doing is wicked, and she doesn’t care. In fact, she often seems to enjoy her own malicious actions. We think it’s fairly accurate that she refers to herself as the mistress of all evil!
